TITO

TITO is a French artist based in Normandy. Just like his art, his artist name is a mark of engagement. Indeed Tito means ‘uncle' in Tagalog and this name was given to the artist by the children of an orphanage in the Philippines where he served. 

Painted or drawn with high precision, his artworks reveal with lines and geometry the essence of his subjects. TITO strips his characters, animals and plants into abstraction down to their core and reveals the essential part of their nature to give us to reflect on them, on the world and our agency to it.

Tito is passionate about botanics. In this series of acrylic drawings he captures the lines and curves of surprising trees and delivers his own particular way of looking at plants.

Nature, Mother Earth and all the creatures on this planet have to be preserved and we have to urgently embrace the matter of protecting and respecting NATURE. We have lost sight of that.
